Suzuki Marine is again urging consumers to purchase goods directly from their authorised Suzuki Marine dealer only after a surge in fraudulent online activity targeting outboard manufacturers.

The company has seen a resurgence in recent weeks of online scams where sites purporting to sell Suzuki outboards have been advertising products at heavily reduced prices and offering such things as warranty and free installation and delivery.

Customers are warned to be vigilant when it comes to making online transactions and that if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Unfortunately there have been a number of cases in the past where customers have handed over their hard-earned cash, in some cases thousands of dollars, to these scammers but have not received any goods in return.

Suzuki Marine cannot guarantee the authenticity of goods or provide full warranty or full technical support for products that are purchased outside of our authorised dealer network.

Consumers who come across what they believe to be a scam website should report it to Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network (ACORN) website, or contact their local police if they believe they are the victim of an online scam.

To find your local authorised Suzuki dealer, use the find a dealer search.
